RACE UPDATE!  (posted March 31, 2020)
The race directors have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation in hopes that we could reschedule or make it a virtual event. However, as the situation has progressed, there seems to be growing uncertainty as to how long this virus will impact our community’s ability to gather in groups and also how it will financially impact those who would like to participate. For these reasons, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that the best option at this point is to cancel the event for 2020 and return in the spring of 2021. We have a tentative date set for April 17, 2021.

For those of you who have already registered, we are offering you the option to get a refund of the race entry fee or to donate your fee towards our cause of purchasing shoes for local families in need. You should receive an email today with further details and instructions.

With all this being said, our goal is to still provide shoes this summer in time for back to school. The families we help will likely need assistance now more than ever. So, if you would still like to support our cause, but did not register for the event to have registration fees to donate, you can still donate online at the following link: https://app.onechurchsoftware.com/flagstone/forms/22. We may not be able to buy as many shoes as we normally do, but we will help all the folks we can!

Thank you for your patience and understanding. It’s an unusual and unfortunate situation not only for our community, but the world as a whole. We hope you all stay well, and we hope we will see you on April 17, 2021!
